On June 13th, the first day of the Partners’ programme, you will be picked up at the Grand Hyatt hotel lobby at 10:00. We would advise you to bring a big sun hat and a full water bottle along as summer is not only stunningly beautiful, but also sizzling hot in Athens.

There simply is no trip to Athens without visiting the Acropolis, you will therefore start the day with a 1,5-hour guided tour of this number-one attraction. After the tour and a short walk through the vibrant streets of the Plaka, the oldest part of the city, you will reach the Taverna “Tou Psara” where you can choose from the richness of the Greek cuisine.

After lunch, the mini-bus will drive delegates joining only for the first half of the day, back to the hotel, just on time for the start of the conference.

The guided tour will leave no mind un-boggled to the beauty and the history of this ancient city and the culture mirrored in the abundance of ancient temples dedicated to important deities.
No matter if you choose the steamed mussels, octopus croquettes, saganaki metsovone, baked lamb, moussaka, eggplant au gratin, soutzoukakia, or linguini with seafood. You will always get a side portion of sunshine served with every meal and, of course, a glass of Greek wine, that will make it an unforgettable experience.

In the afternoon, you will get to discover modern Athens. You will visit the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. With its modern architecture, this gem stands in vast contrast to the historical monuments you got to admire in the morning. After a short guided tour of the premises, you will enjoy a good cup of coffee and refreshments. You will return back to the hotel at around 15:30.

Built in 2016, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center houses the National Library and the National Opera, as well as 210,000 m² of Stavros Niarchos Park. During his trip to Athens, even Barack Obama paid a visit to the cultural centre!
In the National Archaeological Museum in Athens you will get to admire the most important artifacts from a variety of archaeological locations around Greece from prehistory to late antiquity.

On June 14th, the second day of the Partners’ programme, you will be picked up at the Grand Hyatt hotel lobby at 10:00. This time, you will visit the National Archaeological Museum, a masterpiece in every regard that has been ranked among the top 5 most significant museums in the world. In this museum, you can find sculptural masterpieces and Mycenaean antiquities. The 2-hours’ guided tour will give you an extensive overview.  You will return to the hotel by 13:00 in time for lunch.
