Palazzo di Varignana is an elegant venue with 134 rooms spread over 6 different complexes all integrated into a hill, according to the concept of widespread hospitality. The Resort has a 3700sqm SPA area with 7 outdoor swimming pools and wellness paths, a medical center, 3 restaurants, as well as 12 meeting rooms with a maximum capacity of 280 people, sport courts and a driving range. Furthermore, it is enriched by 5 private villas, that can host up to 12 people. The ornamental garden inside the resort is part of the “Grandi Giardini Italiani” network.

Getting to Palazzo di Varignana Resort & SPA
19 km from the center of Bologna, surrounded by 30 hectares of parkland, Palazzo di Varignana dominates the hills of Varignana from the historic villa dating back to 1705.. The resort is easily accessible from various modes of transportation.
By Air: The closest airport is Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ), which is about 29 kilometers away from the resort. Taxis and shuttle services are available for transfer from the airport to the resort. Aside from that one, the closest airports are Florence A. Vespucci (FLR), at 124 km distance and Milan Malpensa (MXP), at 288 km.
By Train: The nearest train station is Bologna Centrale, which is about 19 kilometers from the resort. From there, you can take a taxi or a shuttle service to the resort.
By Car: The resort is located just off the A14 Bologna-Taranto motorway, exit Casalecchio di Reno. Follow the signs to Varignana, and the resort is located on the right side of the road. Parking is available at the resort for guests.
